Operating as the most senior HR professional in the business, you will report directly to the MD within this Leeds-based regulated, financial services company. You will build and maintain relationships with Senior Leaders and key business stakeholders to understand business strategy and tactical priorities and in turn provide practical advice and support to management and business teams, ultimately contributing to the ongoing success of the company.
Supported by a team of 6 HR professionals, you will deliver a comprehensive HR service including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Management/ Succession Planning, Learning & Development, HR policies & procedures, HR administration & Reward. Although owned by a much larger parent company, this role offers ownership and accountability at a local level. There is also the opportunity to get involved in key projects and initiatives, supported by the Group.
In order to be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate experience of leading, managing and developing a small HR team preferably in a regulated environment. Experience of working in contact/ service centre environment is also desirable. Due to the hands-on nature of this role our Client is keen to see candidates who have previously operated at board level in a small-medium size business where they have managed all aspects of a human resources function as opposed to working in Centres of Excellence.
It is vital that you enjoy coaching as a particular focus of this role will be to coach and support first line/middle management, as well as of course your own team.
