Our York-based client is seeking a talented HR Advisor to join its dynamic team. This role offers a unique chance to be part of a forward-thinking company that empowers UK organisations through digital transformation.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of providing high-quality, commercially focused HR support across the organisation. Your expertise will be instrumental in advising and supporting managers on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinaries, investigations, probation reviews, and absence management. You will manage both short- and long-term absence cases, ensuring Occupational Health referrals are handled with precision and care.

Your responsibilities will also include attending and supporting employee relations meetings and hearings, ensuring fairness, consistency, and policy compliance. You’ll produce accurate documentation, such as meeting notes and outcome letters, and play a key role in creating, reviewing, and updating HR policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices. Additionally, you’ll support the communication and effective embedding of HR policies and processes across the business, identifying opportunities to improve and streamline HR processes.

Salary range – £35,000 – £40,000

About You


The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR generalist with a proven track record in handling employee relations cases. Experience in a similar office-based sector and within a similar-sized organisation (250-500 people) is essential.

Key skills and experience include a strong and up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and the ability to manage ER cases independently. Confidence in influencing and partnering with stakeholders at all levels, proficiency with HR systems, and strong organisational skills are also crucial.
