The opportunity

We’re working with a growing international FMCG business that’s looking for a Director of Reward & Recognition to shape how they attract, motivate, and celebrate their people.

This is a chance to take ownership of the total reward strategy – pay, benefits, recognition, and everything that helps people feel valued and inspired to do their best work. You’ll be the person who connects data, culture, and strategy to build a reward approach that really fits the organisation’s ambitions and values.

It’s a hands-on, strategic role with a lot of variety and influence. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and HR colleagues across multiple sites, helping to build a high-performing, high-trust culture where people feel recognised and rewarded for what they do.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the reward and recognition strategy – design and deliver a total reward approach that reflects the organisation’s goals, values, and people-first culture.
  • Shape pay and benefits – oversee compensation frameworks, bonus schemes, incentives, and benefits, keeping things competitive, fair, and future-focused.
  • Champion performance and recognition – create programmes that celebrate success and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Manage key reward cycles – from annual pay reviews to bonus plans, making sure everything runs smoothly and insightfully.
  • Partner with senior leaders – bring clear, data-driven thinking to decisions on reward and recognition at every level.
  • Build capability – coach and support HR teams so they feel confident managing reward conversations and processes.
  • Keep an eye on the market – use data, benchmarking, and trends to make sure the business stays ahead and attractive to top talent.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced reward professional who’s as comfortable in the boardroom as you are rolling up your sleeves. You understand the power of recognition, not just remuneration, and you know how to link reward strategy to culture and performance.

You’ll bring:

  • A strong background in Reward, Compensation & Benefits, or Total Reward.
  • Experience designing and delivering reward strategies in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
  • Deep understanding of pay structures, incentive design, and benefits management.
  • Analytical thinking and a data-led approach to decision-making.
  • Confidence and credibility when working with senior stakeholders.
  • A balance of strategic vision and hands-on delivery.
  • A genuine passion for people, performance, and doing things the right way.

Why you’ll love it

This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark, leading the reward and recognition agenda in a growing, people-focused business with big ambitions. You’ll have the freedom to bring ideas to life, influence culture, and help create a workplace where people feel truly valued.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, down-to-earth leadership team that values innovation, curiosity, and integrity. And you’ll join an organisation that knows success starts with its people.

Sound like your kind of role?

If you’re ready to shape the future of reward and recognition in a business that’s growing fast and thinking big, we’d love to hear from you.
