Our Client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused HR Business Partner to join their People team on a 12–16 month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving technology environment and enjoys partnering with senior operational leaders.

As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Operations Board and senior managers across key business functions. Your expertise will help drive performance, engagement, and organisational effectiveness. This role combines strategic partnering with hands-on operational HR support, making it ideal for someone who excels at building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing at a senior level.

Key responsibilities include partnering closely with senior leadership to support business objectives and people strategy, providing expert guidance on employee relations matters, supporting organisational change initiatives, driving employee engagement and retention initiatives, and using HR metrics to support decision-making. Additionally, you will ensure HR policies are compliant with employment legislation and aligned with business needs, collaborate with various business stakeholders, and lead People projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Candidates should have proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a fast-paced commercial environment, strong experience partnering with senior stakeholders, excellent employee relations knowledge, and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.

Experience in supporting organisational change, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery are essential. A CIPD qualification (Level 5/Level 7) and experience within technology, managed services, or operational environments would be advantageous.

What you need to know

The role is based in Harrogate with a hybrid working model, requiring two days per week in the office. Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, with one hour for lunch. Flexibility may be required on occasion.
