Fólk Recruitment are recruiting for a long-standing professional services client in Leeds as they look to appoint an experienced Employee Relations Manager to lead a small team of ER Advisors.

Working within a close-knit and supportive People function, you'll be responsible for providing an effective ER service across the organisation.

The duties in this role will be varied, and you'll be expected to undertake the following:

  • Provide advice and support to managers and employees to implement Employee Relations processes and to ensure there is alignment across the organisation.
  • Work in conjunction with the wider HR team and Employment Lawyers for escalated cases.
  • Collaborate with ER colleagues to manage caseload.
  • Acting as an escalation point for particularly complex and high-risk cases and change programmes, as well as managing some general case work to appropriately support levels of demand within the team.
  • Lead and direct due diligence and risk responsibilities associated with people changes.
  • Maintain integrity of records and documentation required for employee relations issues.
  • Develop and enhance in-house Employee Relations approach across the organisation including improving processes, developing policies and generating innovation regarding Employee Relations matters.

 

To be considered for the role, you'll be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong employee relations experience with a solid understanding of UK employment law and associated regulations
  • Significant experience of managing complex end-to-end employee relations cases, and a full knowledge of key ER processes
  • Able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, able to juggle and prioritise multiple caseloads of wide-ranging issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced in developing and executing programmes that measurably impact positive employee relations, e.g., management up-skilling
  • Able to show excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all employees at all levels whilst demonstrating influence and gravitas.
