HR Business Partner

Fólk Recruitment is partnering with a global manufacturing business, based in East Yorkshire, as they look to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to work specifically with their Manufacturing and Warehousing operations (c 300 headcount) .

A FTSE business employing over 5000 people globally, our client’s business model and strategy is underpinned by innovation and sustainability, its products having a positive impact on our planet and society.

Having appointed a new Chief People Officer last year they are about to embark on a huge period of positive change and transformation within the HR function. With increased resource in the HR operations space, the HR Business Partner will be able to step away from daily processes, systems and services, becoming an escalation point as needed, but ultimately becoming more strategic and outcomes focused.

This is an ideal time to join the business as you will be part of the senior site leadership team, headed up by a new Site Director.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Member of Site Senior Leadership Teams
  • Organisation Design and Delivery
  • Large scale changes e.g. site consultations, reorganisation
  • Upskilling Managers – Coaching and Training
  • Succession Planning, Talent Management and Workforce Planning, feeding the information in to the relevant forums and systems to support global HRBPs
  • Coach managers on development discussions and support them with creating development plans
  • Lead HR role in senior or needs based recruitment
  • ER caseload
  • Collective Agreements and Union relationship management
  • Employee Engagement
  • Reward and Recognition
  • Checking – non-standard/senior paperwork only
  • Project work

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience of partnering with stakeholders within a commercial, complex, ideally matrix organisation
  • Leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate, engage and influence people at all levels.
  • Demonstrable experience of shaping & implementing HR practices to drive growth
  • Strong organisational, change management and analytical skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo

Our client embraces hybrid working and typically you will spend 3 days on site but you will have the autonomy to plan your own diary accordingly.
