“Why are you hiring senior roles like a People & Culture Director at £120k, a £100k Head of HR role and then dropping down to work on lower level roles like a People & Culture Advisor at £35k and a Reward Partner at £65k? Don’t you prefer to recruit at the senior end of the market??”
We get asked this question a lot at fólk recruitment and whilst I think it’s a valid one, here’s why we recruit ALL levels of HR roles.
As a team, we made the conscious decision when we set up in 2018 that we wanted to have a top down approach in the way we recruit for clients so they have a consistent level of service with the same point of contact every time they engage us.
One of the frustrations for several of our clients (particularly when using a larger multi-disciplined agency) is the fact they get passed around to different recruiters in the business depending on factors like where a role is located, the salary level, whether it’s perm or contract etc.
One of our many strengths as a team is not only how much experience we have in the HR market across the North of the UK, but the fact that we don’t delegate work to less experienced colleagues or work in defined silos like other firms. By providing insight from all three of our networks, we can ensure maximum coverage and greater access to HR talent for our clients.
Yes, we love recruiting senior HR roles and you might think these roles are more important to a business’s success however, we’re no less passionate about recruiting a Reward Partner or an HR Business Partner as these roles are the cogs that keep the wheels turning for so many companies. A lot of mid-level roles can have a huge impact on the dynamic of a People team, how a people strategy is delivered and ultimately, the way that HR is viewed within a business commercially.
